Any way you look at foreclosure, opportunity can be had. It's not a good feeling knowing you will lose your home, but there are options. First and foremost, you MUST act immediately, today. Tomorrow may not present the opportunity. You are not alone as more and more foreclosures appear on the market.

 

What are your options? What can you do to avoid a possible foreclosure?

• First thing... call your mortgage company to see if you can negotiate your note, or qualify for a "Short Sale," an amount your mortgage company will settle to avoid foreclosure.

• Second, get your home on the market and have it professionally marketed with a Realtor®. There are buyers out there looking to help people in a tough situations.  

• Third, create a contingency plan, or your "what if" list. Be prepared for anything including a sale or loss.

•Fourth, tell everyone that your home is for sale and you must sell quickly. Creating a sense of urgency offers enthusiasm to potential buyers.

• Fifth, ask your Realtor if they have other solutions to possibly help your situation. They may have some alternate options.
